So Our Epic Tale Begins

 28th of the Earthy Month

The tale of our unsung heroes begins.  The druid Saloch, rouge Voskas, monk Eden and the Paladin sometimes known as Bl'nx  have been called to the town of Kalamath by mutual friend Famros Chorster, a messenger to the Duke Fruril Milner.  After brief introductions Famros explains to his friends over mugs of the worst tasting ale that the Duke has had an item stolen from him and he wants Famros to deliver a letter to the Adventurers guild of Raysail.  Famros has come up with the idea of his friends doing taking the job and sending him a little kickback in exchange ensuring they get a lucrative job.  The party agree's and they set out the next day at noon on their travel to Raysail.

29th of the Earthy Month
The party goes to the stables where Saloch has secured riding horses for the party.  Unfortunatly for Bl'nx the stables don't raise ponies or riding dogs and he'll have to make do riding with Saloch.  After two hours of swift travel thanks to their horses they see a plume of black smoke in the distance.  There is some discussion as to how approach the situation and when avoidance is mentioned as a possibilty Bl'nx gets a bit upset.  The party decides to investigate with caution in case hostiles are nearby.  As they get near they discover the source of the smoke.  A burning overturned carriage with a man collapsed on the ground infront of it.  Saloch charges in not seeing enemies.  Voskas curses his lack of subtlty but rides in after him.  Famros and Eden continue at a swift pace and arrive at the scene half a minute after Saloch, Bl'nx and Voskas.  Saloch heals the man with some divine magic and as the man wakes up he jerks forwards calling out the name of his daughter and begins running off the side of the road.  Still weakened he stumbles and as he gets his bearings he stops his futile pursuit.  He turns to the party and explains that he is Davamros Spelloyal, a weathly merchant from Raysail.  He was on his way to meet his wife in the town of Gildry with his daughter when the two of them were attacked by goblins riding wolves.  They overturned his carriage, killed his horse and stole his daughter and his chest of 650 gold pieces.  He implores the party to help him.  Bl'nx is more than willing and Saloch and Eden both agree to his noble goal.  Voskas however wants to know how Davamros will compensate them for their time and the considerable risk to their lives.  Davamros tells them of the chest and says they can keep that for themselves and he will pay them 300 more gold for the safe return of his daughter.  The party agrees and they follow the tracks of the chest as it is dragged by the goblin.
After an hour of riding in the wilderness Bl'nx spots what looks to be a guard tower.  It's structure seems shodily built but it proves to be sturdy.  Upon closer inspection they see there are 3 goblins all armed with bows up in the tower and there is a large horn juttiing over the side.  Voskas offers to scout ahead and manages to avoid the goblins notice as he stealthily moves through the hills.  Upon reaching the base of the tower he climbs up one of the 4 posts that support the tower and grabs the horn tossing it to the ground.  The goblins notice their horn disappear and begin looking over the side of the tower.  Voskas makes a quick hide and escapes detection.  The rest of the party, fearing that Voskas plans to engage all the goblins at once, begin running towards the tower.  The goblins see the approaching party and ready their bows.  As they reach the tower the fight begins.  Voskas waits for an opportunity to pull a goblin from the tower and throw him to the ground but ends up in a wrestling match with one goblin while another stabs him in the side.  Eden reaches the base of the hill, dodges an arrow and begins climbing the tower.  Bl'nx does the same thing only without having to dodge an arrow and Saloch follows suit.  The tower proves to be a difficult area to fight though as there is barely enough room for the goblins.  The battle turns to the players favour as Voskas manages to toss a goblin to the ground and Eden caves in the face of another with a mighty punch.  Before Bl'nx and Saloch make it into the fray Voskas has skewered the last one with his rapier.  The heros are victourious over this small goblin detachment and continue to follow tracks unsure what the future holds for them and for Alaiga.
